Cultural Activity of the Literary Club “Agadir” on the Occasion of November 1st

The Literary Club “Agadir” of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature organized a cultural event to commemorate the outbreak of the Glorious Algerian Revolution of November 1st.This initiative aimed to honor the memory of the martyrs and reaffirm the values of revolution and freedom.

The event was attended by Prof. Abderrahmane Kherbouche, Dean of the Faculty; Mr. Azzedine Ben Aïssa, Vice-Dean in charge of Pedagogy; Prof. Abbassia Ben Saïd, Vice-Dean in charge of Postgraduate Studies; Prof. Hourra Tayebi, Head of Department; Mr. Nabil Mersli, Secretary General; Mr. Mourad Mechkor, Activities Coordinator; and Mrs. Houmani, Club Supervisor — along with a large number of faculty members and students from the department.

The activity also featured the distinguished participation of two Slovak students, Michal and Samoa, in a gesture symbolizing intercultural dialogue and mutual respect between Algerian and Slovak cultures.

The program included several rich and varied segments, notably:

• A parade of traditional Algerian attire, showcasing the diversity of the national cultural heritage.
• A photo exhibition honoring the memory of mujahideen and martyrs.
• Video screenings produced by club members, artistically expressing the values of patriotism and freedom.
• Literary and poetic readings written by students, celebrating love for the homeland and loyalty to the sacrifices of the ancestors.

The Library of the Faculty of Letters and Languages also contributed to the success of the event. Its staff and administrators were warmly thanked for their support and fruitful collaboration.

In conclusion, the members of the club expressed their gratitude to everyone who supported this meaningful initiative, praising the spirit of cooperation among teachers, students, and administrators. This activity provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen patriotic spirit, promote solidarity and teamwork, and highlight the creativity and talent of the department’s students.
