• What is EWSC?  

The English Writing Support Centre: Univ-Tlemcen (EWSC) is a place dedicated to all students and teachers who are interested in improving their academic writing in English . At EWSC, you can meet with our writing tutors, known as consultants and hold one-to-one consultation(s) with them to improve your writing at any level and with any genre of writing (e.g. paragraphs, essays, research papers, letters, presentations, speeches, PowerPoint slides … etc.)

EWSC is founded on the belief that “every writer needs a reader”.

• What is EWSC Context?

EWSC context has to do with:

• Basic Academic writing genres: paragraphs, essays, abstracts, letters, etc.
• Complex academic writing genres: research papers, manuscripts, reports, thesis, dissertations, APA and MLA reference styles, etc.
• Oral presentation and persuasive communication speech and skill: presentations, PowerPoint slides, speeches, persuasive communication skills in academic debate, etc.

• What is EWSC Vision?

EWSC Univ-Tlemcen is a pioneering initiative dedicated to support all students and teachers who need help or who want to improve their English writing skill with any writing genre and at any stage of the writing process. Therefore, EWSC is a place that is set to promote excellence in writing across all specialties in the University of Tlemcen.

The core mission of the EWSC Univ-Tlemcen is to help students become good writers, self-confident editors, and effective communicators by giving them effective writing and editing strategies.
